Terms of service
Terms of Service
These terms apply to purchases from Chartroom Press (ABN 76 943 127 425), an Australian business selling digital guides as instant PDF downloads at chartroompress.com. By purchasing, you agree to these terms. Nothing in them excludes, restricts or modifies any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
What you are buying
Each product is a digital PDF file delivered by download. Nothing physical is shipped. After payment you receive a download link on the order confirmation page and by email. Each product's page states its page count and file size; what you download is what is described there.
Your licence
When you buy a guide, you are buying a personal, single-user licence. That means:
- You may download the file to your own devices, read it on any of them, keep it permanently, and print pages or worksheets for your own use.
- You may not share, forward, resell, sublicense, publish, upload to any website or file-sharing service, or otherwise distribute the file or its contents to anyone else, whether free or paid.
- You may not use the contents to create derivative products for sale, or use the file for commercial training or distribution to clients, students or staff.
If you would like to share a guide with a team, school, department or client group, email support@chartroompress.com about a multi-seat licence before purchasing — we answer, and it costs less than you might expect.
All content remains the copyright of Chartroom Press. The licence is for the content's use, not a transfer of ownership of the content.
General information, not professional advice
Our guides are general educational publications. They are not legal, financial, tax, medical, dietary, career or other professional advice, and they are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation. Where a guide summarises published guidance (for example food-safety guidance), it cites its sources and you should confirm current requirements with your local authorities. No guide promises any particular outcome — results depend on your circumstances and how you apply the material.
Prices and payment
The price shown on the product page in your local market is the total price payable — there are no additional fees added at checkout. Payment is processed by Shopify Payments or PayPal. We never see or store your card details.
Delivery
Download links are provided immediately after payment on the confirmation page and by email. If a link does not arrive or does not work, email support@chartroompress.com and we will fix it promptly at no cost — see our Refund Policy for the full commitment.
Refunds
Our Refund Policy forms part of these terms. In short: no refunds for change of mind, full support and refund or replacement where a file is faulty, missing or not as described, and nothing in either document limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or, if you are overseas, the consumer law where you live.
EU and UK customers
If you are in the EU or UK, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a distance purchase. Because our products are digital content supplied immediately, at checkout you expressly consent to supply beginning straight away and acknowledge that the 14-day cancellation right is lost once the download begins. This does not affect your other statutory rights, including where digital content is faulty or not as described.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a guide is limited to resupplying the file or refunding the price you paid. This limitation does not apply to rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of protections that apply under the law of the country where you live.
